AustLit is a searchable, scholarly source of authoritative biographical, bibliographic, critical, and production information about Australian writers and writing. It covers Australian literature, storytelling, theatre, film and television, with biographical information, full text content, exhibitions and rich online experiences. A collaboration between several Australian universities and the National Library of Australia, it provides authoritative information on creative and critical works of Australian literature, with coverage spanning from 1788 until the present day.


Getting Started


Desktop

  • Go to the AustLit website
  • Select Rural Libraries Queensland or Indigenous Knowledge Centres (whichever is relevant) from the Library field drop down box
  • Enter your library barcode in the Card number or Username field
  • Enter your PIN or password in the PIN or Password field
  • Click Login
