It is free and available to anyone who lives or travels within the Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ) and Indigenous Knowledge Centres (IKC) areas.
There are three types of memberships:
Online membership is active immediately and gives you access to ebooks, eaudiobooks, emagazines and online learning resources.
Your online membership is valid for 2 years. Learn more.
Tourist membership is available for those travelling through rural Queensland and provides immediate access to online resources while on the road. To access physical library items, visit any of our participating RLQ libraries or IKCs with personal identification.
Your tourist membership is valid for 6 months. Learn more.
Full membership is available to residents of Queensland’s regional areas, offering access to the complete collection of online and physical library items and full range of services.
To upgrade from an online membership, please visit your local RLQ library of IKC in person with identification that includes your name and current address.

Terms and conditions:
1. I agree that I live or am travelling in the communities listed here.
2. I agree to return items on time and in good condition and understand that my borrowing privileges may temporarily suspended if items are not returned or damaged.
3. I agree to observe all regulations, ordinances, by-laws and rules, and respect the library spaces, library staff and other library users.
4. I confirm that if I am under 18 my parent or guardian will accept the conditions of library membership and accept responsibility for my library membership including items accessed or borrowed.
5. I agree to use online resources in accordance with the terms of use specified for each service or application, as outlined in the license agreements between vendors or publishers and State Library of Queensland.
State Library of Queensland collects your personal information to enable us to provide you with a range of services, including some only available to Queensland residents.
To offer our services, we may need to store data offshore and we may share your information with companies based outside Australia.
These suppliers are only allowed to use the data for contractually agreed purposes and must handle data in a confidential and secure manner in accordance with Queensland privacy legislation (Information Privacy Act 2009).)
