Bwgcolman (pronounced boog-a-man) Indigenous Knowledge Centre is owned and operated by Palm Island Aboriginal Shire Council (PIASC). The Centre is part of a network of 24 IKCs throughout Queensland Indigenous remote communities. The IKC was officially opened on 9th July 2010 and is managed by Regina James, IKC Coordinator and Nina Clay, IKC Support Officer. Bwgcolman IKC received new items to refresh their current library collection courtesy of State Library. In 2018, Palm Island recently commemorated 100 years of their inspiring history which the IKC was instrumental in showcasing images and stories of this unique community.

Thousands of ebooks, magazines, audio and online music and film. We provide access to a large number of authoritative eresources: online journals, newspapers and websites, online training courses, company information, legislation, music scores and recordings and encyclopedias. Much of this information in the eresources is not available freely elsewhere on the web.

Free self-paced tutorials, online classes and videos on a range of topics including technology, math, career and everyday life skills.
